This summer is going way too fast... I can hardly believe that last weekend was the fourth of July. Aura and I flew back to LA yesterday... all day in cars, planes, a bus and then missed a train but we were bailed out thankfully by my Uncle Bobb who I have been living with out here. Anyways Aura has a conference in Hollywood next week and then it's on to an apartment search for a week then back east.

It's been a fun couple weeks off from school and back east hanging in PA and in OH some. Miscellaneous photos from the past two weeks-ish.

I have been slacking off. I have probably 6 rolls of film to develop and another 4 to scan in. I'm excited to see whats on them. I suppose my memory is not sharp enough to remember what all i have been photographing over the last month. Aura came in to town to be with me for 12 days. On her last day I decided to seek the immediate gratification of my digital camera for the first time in almost three months. Anyhow. These photos were taken on the Santa Monica Pier.

It has been very nice out here because ever since I came back a few weeks ago there have been people (my grandma, Andrew and Makenzie, cousin Brennan, Jill, Shane and Jeff) out here to keep me company. With their distraction I haven't been posting or spending much time processing photos, key word processing because I have been shooting. I will have a chance to scan this weekend so more will be coming soon. Until then here are some random shots. The first two are 4 foot by 2 foot painting/photos that I did for my art history final. These are not the finished versions but the basic idea is there. The paintings were inspired by Cy Twombly's work (famous abstract expressionist painter). After the paintings are a couple of quick shots I took with my video camera when I was up in San Fran visiting with Jill. Like I mentioned above... better shots to come that I took with the Leica.
